About the Event
Welcome to the most fun filled day you and your pup can have.
We will be setting out a 5km fun run packed with different terrain, obstacles and testing conditions to challenge both you and your four-legged best friend. We will be including woods, open fields, ditches and slopes to make it as much fun as possible (but there is an opt out route for all the obstacles if you don’t fancy them) the main objective is fun and laughter for everyone. We will also be doing ball filled ditches to run, dive or swim though and a slip and slide which might just be every dogs dream!!
Of course, this is a fun run so the objective is fun not competition, so it doesn’t matter whether you run, jog or walk the course if your smiling and the dogs are wagging then that’s good for us.
Link for booking is below and is cheaper for early bird up until 31st Dec then closes on 17th May or when we reach full capacity so book early to avoid disappointment.
We will have an agility team showing off their skills in handling and precise training and you will also be able to have a go around it with your own dog to see how you get on and the agility team will be on hand to offer any advice.
We will have a trade village open to everyone offering everything from dog food with samples to try, leads and collars, clothing etc and we will have a pampering station should you want to treat your best friend to a wash and clip after their fun filled morning of running with you and also bouncy castles, ice cream van etc for the kids so bring the whole family for a great day out.
There will be a vet and medic on site the whole day aswell as catering and photography available to purchase on the day.
The run is open to everyone even those without a dog and just fancy a bit of Sunday morning fun. Children are of course welcome and 8+ can run the loop with a responsible adult (16+) and their dog and the children will receive a separate medal upon completion to show off for all their hard work.
Please bear in mind there will be a lot of dogs on site the whole day and dogs are very social animals who love to say hello to every other dog they see so if your dog is slightly nervous or anxious around other dogs then please let other owners know before they just come to say hello and if needs be please muzzle your dog for others safety if your dog would benefit from it.
We ask that all dogs are always kept on a lead whilst on the site and that all waste MUST be cleared up by you, there will be several bins clearly marked all around the site. We will have marshals watching the whole site and anyone seen not clearing their mess up will be asked to leave the site immediately.
The first line of runners will start at 10am and the start will be open until 11:30 for those who just want a nice Sunday stroll and there isn’t an end time we just need to account for everyone that starts back over the finish line. All participates will receive a medal and all dogs will receive a rosette for you to keep.
